Protect the Middle (Huo Xiang Zheng Qi San), addresses digestive disharmonies that arise from an externally contracted Wind Cold Damp, combined with a pre-existing Spleen Qi deficiency with Dampness.

Perilla leaf and Platycodon root help expel Wind invasion. White atractylodes rhizome, Poria, Ginger rhizome, Red jujube fruit and Chinese licorice root and rhizome tonify the Spleen and Stomach to make them more resistant to invasion and bolster their digestive functions.
