MitoSpectra is a high potency dietary supplement formulated for children and adults to optimize the function of mitochondria. MitoSpectra is based on the mitochondrial formulation developed at the Kennedy Krieger Institute of Johns Hopkins University to augment activity of the mitochondrial respiratory chain and to protect mitochondria from reactive oxygen species through improved anti-oxidant capacity.
MitoSpectra includes 5 active ingredients:
- L-carnitine
- Coenzyme Q10
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin E
- Vitamin B5
MitoSpectra is manufactured under NSF-certified Good Manufacturing Practices at an FDA-inspected facility in the United States. These standards ensure that all ingredients used in the product are pure and uncontaminated and the final product contains the exact ingredients and strength designated in a stable form.
Consult your physician before starting MitoSpectra or any high potency dietary supplement.
What are the benefits of MitoSpectra over other formulations?
Physicians at leading medical centers have been recommending mitochondrial supplements for decades, but the large quantity and poor taste has made it difficult for many patients to take. MitoSpectra provides a solution to these problems through
Concentrated Dosing – through our special formulation, high doses of 5 key ingredients are contained in a small amount of powder.
Improved Taste – our powder formulation is easy to hide in soft food, such as applesauce, yogurt, pudding, or mashed potatoes. It can also be mixed with colored drinks, such as orange juice, milk, or smoothies.
Added Convenience – MitoSpectra can be stored at room temperature (no need for refrigeration). It can easily be taken in the car, to school, or on overnight trips. In contrast, many other mitochondrial formulations require refrigeration and begin to degrade quickly so that the effective dose decreases over time.
MitoSpectra Capsule Dosage and Directions for Use
The suggested daily dosages are appropriate for many individuals, but these may need to be modified by a physician according to the specific needs of each individual (especially those with a history of seizures). In some individuals a blood test may be helpful in determining the appropriate daily dose.
How to Start Mitospectra To reduce the potential for side effects, start MitoSpectra at a low dose (one capsule per day) and increase gradually to the suggested daily dose over 3 to 4 weeks.
“The natural appearance of these contents may vary from pale orange to golden brown. Within the powder base, there may be areas of increased moisture and larger sized particles. These kinds of variations are expected in this product, as special care has been taken in selecting the exact ingredients based on their biological activity and to avoid artificial additives and preservatives.
The product expiration is two full years from the date of manufacture (shown on the product label).”
Consult your physician before starting MitoSpectra or any high potency dietary supplement.
