The liver is the primary organ of detoxification. Its main function is to filter and prepare potentially toxic substances for elimination. Metabolic waste, microorganisms and environmental toxicants are transported through the liver and broken down into less toxic compounds, and excreted via the kidneys, bowels and skin.

Coptis (Coptis chinensis) rhizome:  Rich in berberine, coptis is known for its potent ability to clear microbial imbalance and improve hepatic flow.
